| Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) has Missing Key to ‘The Secret’ and ‘The Law of Attraction’ | ||
The recent movie "The Secret” is based on the Law of Attraction, which underpins many spiritual texts. The simplest definition of this law is “like attracts like”. This means that whatever you focus on is what you get, whether wanted or unwanted. If you focus on fear, worry and negative thoughts, you’ll notice unhappy situations arising. If, however, you focus on love, compassion, kindness and forgiveness then life will be beautiful! ======STOP SUMMARY===== So if it is as simple as focusing on what you want, why doesn’t it work all the time? Have you ever stuck Post-IT notes around your house affirming, "I’m happy, healthy and abundant" while everything was yelling at you "No You Aren’t!!"? Positive thinking alone is not enough to manifest the life you want. "The Secret" gives you a glimpse of how to change your life, but there is a missing link. The Movie Says: ‘It is as simple as putting in an order to the Universe This is like having the universe as your catalogue where you flip through the pages and say, "I would like to have that object and this experience.’ We Say: The only way to access that ‘Cosmic Ordering Service’ is to align your conscious and subconscious minds. If you ask for something you REALLY want, let’s say a happy, lasting relationship, but your subconscious mind believes that you don’t deserve it, because of guilt, or low self-esteem, or some other limiting belief, then no matter how often or how loudly you affirm it, it simply won’t happen.Your emotions are correlated with your beliefs and these are often below your level of awareness. Careful questioning by a skilled EFT Coach can bring these ‘self-limiting beliefs’ into the light of your conscious awareness, where they can be swiftly removed with EFT.EFT can also show you how to align your thoughts with your emotions, your head with your heart. When your thoughts and emotions are in tune you have the key to manifestation! The Movie Says: ‘Nothing new can come into your life without forgiveness and gratitude’. We Say:It is difficult to forgive and be in a state of gratitude when you have many years’ experience of judging, blaming and finding fault with other people, yourself and the world. (At least, most of us do- it’s the way we are brought up in this society). With EFT Coaching we can teach you how to develop forgiveness and gratitude by detaching yourself from judgement and pain. We offer you a powerful technique where you can see the lessons in your emotional pain from a more graceful and loving perspective. EFT helps you develop and maintain an attitude of gratitude! The Movie Says: ‘You must let go of the past. We hold on to our stories for too long. We use our stories to keep us where we are.’ We Say:The stories and experiences of your childhood and your past determine your beliefs which in turn influence your thoughts and emotions. EFT gives you a tool for seeing the past from another point of view and allows you to release emotional pain.Through a simple, painless process we show you how to identify the beliefs and emotions that are creating your world and how to free yourself from these painful stories. Once the painful story of the past is released you have the power of manifesting your dreams and desires. EFT gives you the full power of manifestation and abundance!

| New Wellbeing Centre Supports Local Heroes | ||
A new project has been launched to support countless unsung helpers, who dedicate their time and effort to serving their local communities. The Wellbeing Centre, based at the Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) in Chippenham, has been set up to give something back to those who give so freely to others. A small group of complementary health practitioners is offering low-cost treatments, or therapies, to people involved in voluntary and community work, whether as volunteers, committee members or paid workers. ======STOP SUMMARY===== “We wanted to find a way of supporting people who often put others’ needs before their own” said Karen Scott, who works as a practitioner at the Centre. “There was a room available at the CVS premises and we felt it would be the perfect space for complementary health practitioners to use at an affordable rent. This means we can pass the benefits onto voluntary and community groups in the way of affordable treatments”At present the Centre offers Homeopathy, Emotional Freedom Technique and Life Coaching. “We have several other therapists considering joining us and hope to offer additional treatments soon, such as Reflexology, Reiki and Shiatsu”, added Jess Wilks, who is the Centre’s Homeopath. The Centre has just been launched with a free open evening on Thursday, May 17th. This was attended by 15 people who listened to talks on the theme of ‘Emotional Rescue in First Aid and Crisis Situations’. | Work-Life balance
| For anyone in the labour force, overall quality of life depends largely on finding a healthy balance between their job and other aspects of their life. It should be cause for concern, then, that Canadians have found it increasingly difficult to balance their personal responsibilities with their job demands during the past decade. The ‘struggle to juggle’ is taking a toll on Canadian firms, families and workers. This toll is showing up as increased job stress, declining physical and mental health, increased absenteeism, declining job satisfaction, weakening employee commitment, lower workplace morale, and reduced satisfaction with family life.
